New location to provide convenient access to borrowers in Colorado Springs and surrounding areas

Denver, Aug. 13, 2019Colorado Enterprise Fund (CEF) announces the opening of a new satellite office located in Colorado Springs. The office will serve current and prospective borrowers throughout Colorado Springs and surrounding areas in El Paso and Pueblo Counties.

Colorado Enterprise Fund’s main office is housed in Denver and the lending organization serves the entire state of Colorado with additional satellite offices located in Ft. Collins, which serves Larimer and Weld Counties.  

“With this office in Colorado Springs, we will be able to better serve our new and prospective borrowers in Southern Colorado, and help them and their communities to grow and thrive,” says CEF President and CEO Ceyl Prinster. 

CEF is a nonprofit lender that has served Colorado small businesses for more than 40 years, providing loans and business coaching to those unable to obtain traditional bank funding. In total, Colorado Enterprise Fund has dispersed more than $85 million in start-up and growth capital to over 2,400 businesses, with 84% of borrowers being low-income, women or minorities. Through this loan support, CEF has created or retained over 21,296 jobs in Colorado.

Cumulatively, CEF has provided the following in Southern Colorado:

  • 172 loans closed
  • $4.6M loaned to small businesses
  • 49 loans went to startups
  • 90 loans went to low-income owners 
  • 47 loans went to minority-owned businesses
  • 91 loans went to women
  • Six jobs per loan were created or maintained

“Southern Colorado is one of the fastest-growing areas of the state with small business as a key economic driver. We are thrilled to open our new office and work with our local partners to provide the capital needed to meet the loan demand in this region,” said Prinster.
