Colorado Enterprise Fund (CEF) Borrowers Participate in Small Business Saturday, November 25, with Events and Special Offers
Denver, November 15, 2017 – Colorado Enterprise Fund (CEF) borrowers are participating in this year’s Small Business Saturday on November 25 with a variety of events and special offers. This special day was started eight years ago to rally support for local small businesses across the country. In 2016, Small Business Saturday hit record highs with an estimated 112 million consumers reported at small businesses nationally, a 13% increase from 2015.
“As a non-profit organization lending institution with the mission to accelerate community prosperity by financing and supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses, we at CEF encourage our Colorado communities to support local small businesses on Small Business Saturday and throughout the entire year,” said CEF President and CEO Ceyl Prinster.
Colorado Enterprise Fund Borrower Small Business Saturday Events and Offers (11/25): Stanley Marketplace CEF Borrowers Support Small Business Saturday –
Stanley Marketplace is a community-focused marketplace located in northwest Aurora featuring 50+ independently owned Colorado businesses under one roof. CEF has provided loans for several businesses in this new development that opened in December of 2016. The entire marketplace will be celebrating the Small Business Saturday event, and here are a couple CEF borrowers involved:
· Maria Empanada – A casual Denver-based Argentinean eatery, Maria Empanada got its start when owner Lorena Cantarovici received a loan from CEF to start her business in 2014. Since then, she has expanded to three locations in Colorado (including the newest location in Stanley Marketplace) and just received a $3.5 million investment to expand from the Colorado Impact Fund. · Miette et Chocolat - Renowned pastry chefs and chocolatiers Gonzalo Jimenez and David Lewis present their latest endeavor - Miette et Chocolat. The French patisserie with a modern twist, serves everything from traditional bon bons to unique candy bars. On Small Business Saturday, they will be launching their new holiday pastries and chocolates.
