Denver, December 7, 2015 – Colorado Enterprise Fund (CEF) is proud to announce the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors: Haroun Cowans, Executive Director of Impact Empowerment Group, Heidi Ganahl, CEO of Camp Bow Wow, and Jay Spader, an attorney at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck LLP in Denver.
Haroun Cowans is Executive Director of Impact Empowerment Group, a community program for at-risk youth in East Denver. Mr. Cowans brings a commitment to improving urban neighborhoods by employing entrepreneurial leadership to help individuals, small businesses and community partners create a better life for Denver’s young citizens. Mr. Cowans is also part-owner of Royal Guard Security.
Heidi Ganahl is the founder and CEO of Camp Bow Wow, an international pet care company with over 200 franchises. A former CEF borrower and seasoned entrepreneur, Ms. Ganahl sold her business to VCA Inc in 2014 to have more time to pursue her newest venture, Moms Fight Back, a Colorado-based organization dedicated to helping moms keep their school-aged children safe, happy and healthy.
Jay Spader, a shareholder with Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck LLP, has extensive experience representing both borrowers and lenders in a wide variety of complex financing transactions. A member of the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation Executive Committee, Spader brings expertise about new businesses and jobs that are strengthening communities in the metro area.
