The map below identifies areas of Colorado (in dark purple) lacking access to healthy food outlets such as supermarkets. This data is taken from a 2014 study by The Reinvestment Fund (TRF) analyzing underserved regions of the country where "barriers exist" for residents to eat and live well.
As one of only four nonprofit organizations receiving national ReFresh funding from TRF to finance more healthy food enterprises - such as producers, manufacturers, distributors and retailers - Colorado Enterprise Fund is committed to increasing access to fresh, healthy and affordable foods for residents in these areas with its Healthy Foods Fund program for small businesses supporting any segment of the food process.
