As another year passes, we look back at the progress we’ve made and ahead to opportunities that beckon us to greater heights. What will you remember about 2014? Here are a few things that stand out for me.
dream
As a community and mission-driven organization, we dreamed of providing more people the chance to realize their dreams of small business ownership and to support their passions and plans so they and their communities would prosper. We succeeded and so did they. Now we have set even higher goals for 2015 so more entrepreneurs can join the ranks of Colorado’s successful small business owners.
believe
We believed we could offer more targeted loan products and services to meet the needs of our diverse small business borrowers. From adding the SBA 7(a) Community Advantage loan to creating the new Pronto loan to meet the need for smaller, rapidly-approved requests, we succeeded and achieved record levels of demand for and deployment of these new loan products.
celebrate
Finally, we celebrated our success this year as the state’s nonprofit award winner at the 27th annual ColoradoBiz Top Company awards. Recognized for our “mission-driven financing of businesses that fit outside the box,” we are proud of our record of serving low-income, minority and women-owned businesses that enrich the diversity and economic vitality of our communities.
We continue to be inspired by the number of people who contact us about small business financing with the knowledge that our valued referral partners, investors and funders believe we can help these entrepreneurs. Together, we are contributing to the strength and prosperity of our state so more people can work and live as they desire. I celebrate this accomplishment along with you and wish everyone continued success and prosperity in the New Year!
