Bizworks

Bizworks is a program designed to help teens learn the skills to successfully plan, start and operate their own businesses. Our goal is to give you the opportunity to create your own job and help you learn how to make money as a business owner. If you are between the ages of 15 and 19, and if having your own business is something you'd like to try, then Bizworks is for you!

THE BIZWORKS PROGRAM HAS THREE STEPS:

You start with a business plan training course where you learn how to:

• Choose a business idea

• Identify your market

• Write a business plan

• Manage your cash

You'll also:

• Meet real live business owners

• Take field trips to visit companies

• Gain experience using computers for business (including the Internet)

When you finish your business plan . . .

You can apply for a small loan to help you:

• Cover start-up costs like buying supplies to make a product you plan to sell... or

• Printing brochures or other materials to tell people about your business

After you get your business started, we'll make sure you have
lots of professional advice to help you keep your business going and growing!
